Trying to go about my day, but the contractions really do stop you in your tracks. It is frustrating and tiring. I've been able to doze a couple times on the reclining sofa (thank goodness for travel pillows btw). I wake up for each contraction and some are starting to get nasty now. I had one belly shaker that made me cry. Since that sucker they've been what I would consider 'longer and stronger' so maybe we are progressing. From what I read, I'm in 'early labour' which is dilating to 4 cm. After this comes regular labour (I think, can't remember now) where we go to 8 cm. Then the nasty stuff really comes at you, you go into primal animal mode and open up to bagel width the last 2 cm. I have to say that just the ones I'm getting now (these new longer stronger ones) are enough to squeeze tears out of me involuntarily and moan out loud. I thought I'd be a quiet contractor, but apparently I'm going to be a moaner.
Trying to keep my sense of humour in between but it's getting harder and the contractions are closer together. I had to stop twice already writing this to get through two of them. Santo - take it from me now, you CAN do it, but it sucks!
