Previously we posted a bit of a video of him learning to move about on his hands and knees. (Yes, that funny screeching you hear in the background is my baby). I haven't captured the more mature version of the learn to crawl yet - where he does the a-frame downward dog yoga pose, then brings a foot in front, crosses it on the ground and uses that method as his way of sitting up. It's funny to watch, I'll try to catch it on video soon.
We've regressed in the sleep department again. Horribly so for the past three days. I actually thought to myself while getting into the car to drive home from the grocery store today 'it should be illegal for me to drive while this tired'. At least this back-to-newborn sleep hour situation has a suitable reason: teeth. You can finally see two huge bumps on the front of his bottom gum line. I don't see the tooth buds poking out the top yet, but I pray (oh how I pray and pray) they will come soon, and we can all get some sleep again. By 'get sleep again' I mean at least 4 hours in a row. The public health nurse at the MotherCare group today said to go ahead and dose him with baby Tylenol. I did that and he spent the next hour crying his head off. Seemed odd to me...we shall see how things go.
Tomorrow marks an important day in the Newark Family's lives - it's our first CNE traditional visit with the family! Technically we did the visit last year with the family, but Calvin was still in the belly. That day is when we officially picked his name and even got a teddy bear with his name embroidered on it. Let's hope the day turns out to be a great first one, as I had been looking forward to it for a long time.
