Today we went in for the ultrasound to determine why baby is being a quiet guy lately. He's a good boy though, and when the tests that count are performed, he performs! So movement was good in the non-stress test and the ultrasound and the tech was smiling and happy at the rest of the measurements and such so there appears to be nothing to worry about. She reconfirmed that he is still indeed a boy, and showed me his face and body on the ultrasound. I was a bit in shock during the face shot because his face alone takes up the whole screen of the ultrasound now. He's all tucked up inside there, and his head is very low in my pelvis. She assured me that he is ready to go, whenever he decides he's ready to go. We are looking forward to meeting him!
Baby Newark has arrived! His name is Calvin and he was born at 39 weeks (slightly earlier than the 41 weeks I was guessing), on December 24th. He weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces and was 22 inches long. His eyes were slate blue to start with, and have turned into a true grey.
