I forgot about the picture idea until after dishes and some clean up, and the fog had mostly lifted by then, but grabbed the camera anyhow. Turns out taking photos through the screen in your window kind of sucks so I went down to the patio doors to take photos of the same view, looking out across the farmers field. Well, wouldn't you know that luck was on my side as two mature deer were walking along the recently harvested field sniffing at left over potatoes. I tried to grab good shots of them, but the field is large and while I can see the deer fairly well in person, the camera doesn't catch them so well at that distance. They hung out for a bit til our dogs barked, then trotted over across the street to the other farmers field, which offered better tall grasses to hide in while foraging.
This was a lovely distraction from the new discovery of what acid reflux is and how it feels while you attempt to sleep. And the continued feeling when you are standing hours later, trying to stay awake. Yoga tonight should be interesting if this doesn't go away by then. I totally blame this on KFC. Its been my new addiction (once a week) and is horrible for me, I know. But oh emm gee it has been so delicious! Hopefully last night and today's pain will be enough to cure me of the greasy, tasty, juicy, finger-licking-good Colonel's heartburn in a bucket.
Apparently I have a photo gallery element I can add to the website here, so I am trying it out. Hopefully it doesn't cause slow load times. Let me know what you think of it or if it causes you troubles. I really wanted to label each photo, but haven't figured that out yet. Various shots from windows and doors of our house, looking out. Assuming they go up in the order I've posted them they should be:
Looking through screen out our back living room window
Looking out the front door
Farmers field across the street
Another shot of farmers field across the street
Deer in farmers field out our patio door
Another shot out the patio door as the deer are leaving
Willow tree as viewed from the side door of the house
