I suspect Calvin will crawl. He is so very close. He does a 360 degree circle on the floor, he can stand in an A-frame shape on his feet doing the downward dog pose. He will kneel on hands and knees and rock back and forth. All that is left is to realize that if he moves one hand forward, then the other, followed by legs - he has freedom. I'm not encouraging it yet. Srsly, can you imagine my life at that moment? I am not ready for him to grow up and moving on his own is just one more undeniable piece of proof that he is growing up.
The first day where he went from his belly into a sitting position Sean lowered his crib mattress. I thought it's probably a bit early, but what the heck, may as well get it done. The very next day, I put Calvin in to his bed asleep at nap time and five minutes later I hear him playing in there. I go to peek at him to see what is going on and there he is, sitting up, playing with the crib bars! I am so glad we lowered that mattress. Photos and new videos (on youtube probably) to follow soonish!
Oh - and just to mark the time: Calvin is now 8 months old. I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. He is still the most beautiful baby in the world to me, even if he is a 'big' baby!
