Well, the news is that I have a urinary tract infection apparently and that it can be mucho no good for baby. Good thing the doc tested me out, since I'm not really symptomatic and I would have never known. I started my antibiotics today. On a side note - this is yet another time where my doctors office has failed me (first with the blood tests, and now with not even calling me to say there is a prescription ready for me). However, it has shown me just how awesome the OB office is. Arlene is the front office person there and she followed up with me to ensure that my doctor office actually called in the prescription. If only I could get a doctor and staff like theirs for our regular family doctor! Ah for my record as well (and anyone who cares to follow along) I'm hitting over 155 during the day now for weight, and around 152 or 153 as my morning weight. It's amazing I can even manage to carry myself up the stairs sometimes to stand on the scale.
I've been asked for updated photos of the belly, and I swear they are coming! I've been lazy about getting them off of the camera, but I will post one soon. Preparing for Parenthood classes are over now (they were not about prenatal at all, so we can't call them that). They were interesting and Sean and I both learned a lot. Mostly we learned that we are going to be very tired in three months! I really liked the public health nurse that taught the classes, and I get to continue to see her every other week when she comes to visit at the Mothercare group I attend on Tuesdays. I'm a little social butterfly now getting out and meeting new people.
Ended up trying a new yoga place and I am in love with the teacher. She is always telling me to stop hunching over and 'make space for the baby'. It is a great reminder and I catch myself at home all the time crunching over and say in my head 'make space for the baby'. I find it hard to sit properly while driving though, and end up squishing him. He's been a quiet baby overall, not a lot of activity during the day. He saves his big moves mostly for when I'm first laying down at night to sleep, and then he gives me the good old one-two, left hook to the gut. I think I saw him rub his nose first, bounce back and forth on his toes, then wind up for the swing. Much as I am not a fan of the big kicks, I do enjoy feeling him move - it gives me a sense of relief to know he's okay in there.
