I was starting to worry a bit about his lack of rolling over and laughing. The 'standard' is for most babies to be able to roll over and for nearly all babies to laugh (at four months, so we still have a bit of time). I heard from the other moms at the moms groups that really a lot of babies don't get the roll over until much later. That made me feel better, but I know that I'm very guilty of not putting him down on the floor enough to give him the opportunity to try rolling. (Flashback to wearing baby gloves and learning to grab things, eep!). So today we spent some quality floor time and he further amazed me by rolling from his stomach to his back. Not once, but twice. This was great news and so all of a sudden. He was pretty ticked off by the second roll over so we took a break, but what a wonderful job he is doing. No one will ever know I carry him so much that he has no time to learn these skills. He masters them quick so as to cover for me. Good boy.
Photos below are of starting on belly and rolling to back, and the one of Calvin and me is up to show the Grandparents and Great Aunt and Uncle how much he looks like a Campbell man sometimes.
