I realize that pre-pregnancy I was considered slightly underweight. Thus, during pregnancy I can expect to have to gain a bit more than someone who was going into it heavier. However, if you do the 'typical' math I should gain a max of 40 pounds for the duration. Estimates put me at having to be 138 by August 13th, then gain a pound a week. Well surprise! Today, my morning weight was 137.4. Today, in case you are wondering, is only July 18th. I'm a bit in shock over the big changes this week. Pretty soon I won't just look like a skinny girl who let her beer belly get out of control. Shortly I will look like a skinny girl who spent some quality bedroom time with her husband.
Well and so, there you have it. I actually broke the 141 mark yesterday after dinner and promptly sat my fat ass down for a break. I am breaking all the lifetime records of weight I've ever held and it continues to be a shock to me daily. This is what happens, in case you are wondering, when you quit smoking and take up eating 5 meals a day as your new habit. Speaking of that..breakfast was at least two hours ago, it's time for some grub!
